What does it mean to be Catholic?
Our Catholic faith is built on the confession of St. Peter to Jesus: “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God”. In our worship, care for every human person, engagement in the culture, we strive to point others to Jesus.
When does OCIA begin?
The OClA process begins in August and culminates in the spring at the Easter Vigil.
Who may participate?
The OCIA process is open to anyone who wishes to become Catholic, includes non-baptized persons, persons baptized in another Christian denomination, and Catholics who have been baptized but have not celebrated the other sacraments.
What happens at OCIA?
The candidates’ journey of faith and discernment includes listening and learning, sharing the faith stories of the Word of God and their own faith stories as well as involvement in the Church’s rituals.
